Quick start

Install Flame X, connect with the free key it gives you and get online in under a minute.

Install the app

Flame X is free on Google Play for Android 8.0 and up. Use the Get it on Google Play button on our home page, or search for Flame X by LiBSEC.

Open it for the first time

There is nothing to sign up for. On the first launch the app creates an anonymous device ID, fetches a free subscription key and imports it for you. The key comes with 500 MB of free data, so you can try Flame X before you pay.

Connect

  1. Tap the flame button in the middle of the home screen.
  2. Allow the VPN permission when Android asks. This only happens the first time.
  3. When the flame turns orange and a timer starts, you are connected.
The Select App card at the bottom of the home screen shows which apps use the VPN. Choose them before you connect, see Proxy per app.

Next steps

  • Pick a server, or leave it on Auto.
  • Choose which apps use the VPN so your data lasts longer.
  • Upgrade to Premium when you need more data.
